This is the 3rd trainer I have purchased that is made by Fox knives. I have the Fox 599 Karambit, the Fox Dart, and now the Mako. I always buy the trainer first before the actual knife. I like that Kuya Doug also collaborates with knife makers like Bastinelli Knives who I am very impressed with. I do like the smaller ring feature, the pocket clip and FRN handle make it easier to deploy from a pocket, and the Bram Frank patent is really nice for easy deployment. I have not had enough time to determine if the FRN handle is better than G10, if the pocket clip is better than what is on the 599 or Dart, or if the Bram Frank opener is better than the Emerson Wave. What all 3 have in common is N690Co Steel which I have researched and is an awesome steel for knives. I absolutely love training with the Mako undeployed, using it for Puno strikes, striking with the ring feature and flailing. A lot of thought has gone into the design of this knife and the others too, in which I am very grateful for. Great Job! Kuya Doug, can you make a training video for the Mako like you did for the Karambit and Dart?
